Wheat flour                       2 cups

Salt                                       1 tbsp

Baking powder                  1/4 tbsp

Ghee                                    1/4 cup

Water (as needed)

How to Cook

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add semolina; cook until golden.
  • Add sugar, water, cardamom, and saffron (if using).
  • Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened Garnish with nuts.

  • Mix flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add ghee; mix until crumbly.
  • Gradually add water; knead dough.
  • Rest for 30 minutes. Divide into small balls.
  • Roll out thin puris. Deep-fry until golden.
